Deb Anderson (Actor Seven) is making her 13th appearance on the Bus Barn Stage, having appeared as Phyllis in SEASON'S GREETINGS and in THE REAL THING, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, OVER THE TAVERN, THE LARAMIE PROJECT and THE BABY DANCE. Deb has performed in Bay Area theatre for more years than she cares to admit and has swabbed the decks at San Jose Repertory Theatre, City Lights and San Jose Stage Company among others. Deb is a current performer with Mysteries for Hire, a murder mystery group that was featured at "Pirate Palooza" in Chico this past spring. |

Brent Beebe (Actor Four) is making his Bus Barn debut. Brent lived in the Los Angeles area where he received his B.A. at California State University Northridge in writing. He worked as both writer and actor during his time there, acting in films such as Blair Witch Rejects, Free to a Good Home, and Frankenstein Jr., and wrote screenplays for various companies, his latest being Wild Roses for Lindsey Lohan. Now back in the Bay Area, he has been seen in PANDEMONIUM, ANTIGONE IN THE OVAL OFFICE (Tabard Theatre), EARTHLY SPIRITS (Chas Conservatory), AND THEN THERE WERE NONE (Santa Clara Players), and LUV (Northside Theatre). |

Christopher Carter (Actor Eight) is thrilled to be celebrating his 30th show in the Bus Barn! Chris has been working at the Bus Barn with the Los Altos Youth Theater since age 11 and, aside from TREASURE ISLAND, has participated previously in two Bus Barn Stage Company productions. He has also teched, constructed and/or performed for the Menlo Players and Foothill College, but the Bus Barn is his home away from home. David Hamilton (Actor Five) is thrilled to be returning to Bus Barn after performing as Neville Bunker in the 2008 production of Season's Greetings. An active and enthusiastic participant in theater since childhood, David's most recent roles include: Smirnov in Chekov's THE BEAR (Dragon Theater) and Homer in LYSISTRATA (City Lights Theater). Max Koknar (Actor Nine) Bora “Max” Koknar holds his B.A. in Theatre from the Ohio State University. Annamarie MacLeod (Actor Two) is tickled pink to be making her Bus Barn debut! Most recently she's been playing male roles with the Woman's Will production of The Taming of the Shrew. She has also performed with the Dragon Productions (Chekhov in Yalta), the Pear Ave Theatre (Northanger Abbey, The Way of the World), Theatre Q (And Baby Makes 7), Naked Masks (No Such Thing) and the New Conservatory Theatre Center (Tennessee in the Summer). Joshua Messick (Actor Ten) is thrilled to be part of his first show here at Bus Barn. He most recently appeared as Beelzebub in Foothill College's production of DOCTOR FAUSTUS, as well as in several roles as part of the Foothill New Works Festival. He is also a proud member of Foothill's student-run Foothill Players, which he will be leading in the fall. He is currently a student at Foothill College's 2-year Theatre Conservatory training program. He has been known to inspire fear amongst puppies and small children. |

Nicolae Muntean (Actor Three) is thrilled to be cast in his third doctor role in a row after a four-year hiatus from theater to pursue a culinary arts adventure. A 2006 graduate of the California Culinary Academy, he refined his skills with an internship in Tuscany! Recent roles include: the Doctor in THE ENCHANTED and Dr. Faustus in DR. FAUSTUS, both at Foothill College Theatre. Previous BBSC credits include: THE HAPPY HUNTER (Castillo), ARCADIA (Jellaby, Noakes), THE WINTER’S TALE (First Lord), and multiple roles in HAMLET and THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. |

Jonathan Murphy (Actor Eleven) is making his BBSC debut. He performs regularly with the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival including such roles as Bottom (MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, Horatio (HAMLET), Antipholus of Syracuse (COMEDY OF ERRORS) and Touchstone (AS YOU LIKE IT). He is in the Indie feature film, "In the Minds of Men" playing the principal role of Tyler. He's performed for Broadway West, the Tabard Theater, the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts and Foothill Theater. Vic Prosak (Actor Twelve) has been involved in Bay Area theatre on and off since college at USF and Sonoma State. He has appeared locally with Palo Alto Players, Renegade Theatre Experiment and Santa Clara Players. Katie Schurtz (Actor Thirteen) has worked many years behind the ticket counter as a house manager and is delighted to be on staff for this exciting show. In addition to house managing at City Lights, she has served as crew/camera operator in City Lights production of TOMMY, light operator for STOP KISS and run crew for FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. She has provided assistance to the City Lights staff/board in helping plan the company's fundraisers. Katie is a Bay Area native and graduated from USF with a degree in Sociology. |

Brendan Bartholomew (Lighting Design) is a graduate of Santa Clara University where he received a degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in theatre. Brendan has been designing for companies in the Bay Area for the past ten years, including City Lights Theatre Company, California Theatre Center, Hillbarn, and Pear Avenue, and for special events at venues like the California Theatre and Marin Center. Brendan’s work was most recently seen at BBSC in THE LAST NIGHT OF BALLYHOO. Some of Brendan’s other BBSC favorites include ENCHANTED APRIL, OVER THE TAVERN and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE all the way back in 2002.
Barbara J. Cannon (Artistic Director, Director has worked professionally as a director since 1991, when she directed her first show with Hillbarn Theatre in Foster City. Since that time, she has directed over 50 productions and served as Associate Director at Hillbarn Theater from 1991-1993, as Associate Artistic Director at Palo Alto Players from 1993-1998, and currently is Artistic Director at Bus Barn Stage Company. She has also worked as an actor, singer, costume designer, set and props designer, and teacher at Foothill College. Barbara is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s Dramatic Arts Department, and did postgraduate work at University of Hawaii, Manoa. She was awarded a 2003 Artists Fellowship for Stage Direction by Arts Council Silicon Valley. For BBSC, she has directed 25, the most recent being BREAKING THE CODE last season and has designed a multitude of costumes, sets, and props.
Linda Christensen (Assistant Director) has previously directed a variety of new works and one acts at Foothill College. She spends most of her time behind the scenes, and is very grateful for the opportunity to come out and get creative with such a fine crew!
S. Conner (Stage Manager) After graduating from LaGrange College in 2003 with a B.A. in both Theatre Arts and Spanish, she worked a summer in New York before moving to California. Since then she's remained busy working all over the Bay Area, including Berkeley Rep's Roda Theatre and three seasons with Festival Theatre Ensemble of the Los Gatos Shakespeare Festival. However, some of her favorite management credits are right here at Bus Barn where she's had the privilege of working as stage manager for Over the Tavern, Expecting Isabel, A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Chorus Line, and The Real Thing.
Ron Gasparinetti (Scenic Designer) Ron has designed hundreds of shows over the past 25 years and has been a member of the Bay Area theatre community for a little over a decade. In January 2007, he and good friend Charles McKeithan joined forces to start their own company “THRUST Scenic Design & Construction”. Mae Heagerty-Matos (Costume Design) has been a costume designer for over 30 years, having worked for Hillbarn Theater (resident costume mistress), Pear Avenue Theater, Dragon Productions, Coastal Repertory Theater, California Shakespeare Theater, Dickens and Renaissance Faires, City Lights Theater on San Pedro Square, Northside Theater, Peninsula Center Stage, Palo Alto Players, Young Actors Workshop, San Mateo Historical Museum and Peninsula Civic Light Opera, in addition to assisting in design for many Bay Area school productions. Recipient of the BRAVO’s Subscriber Choice Awards for Excellence in Costuming for best costume design in 2004 for Hello, Dolly!, 2005 for Sound of Music, and for entire 2006 Season, 2007 for The Golden Child and in 2008 for Aida. She designed last season's productions of BREAKING THE CODE and LEADING LADIES.
Charles McKeithan (Master Carpenter) has been a handyman by day and an actor by night in the local Bay Area for the past ten years. Last year he joined forces with Ron Gasparinetti to form THRUST Scenic Design and Construction. Rich Miller (Sound Design) is very happy to bring you the sound for TREASURE ISLAND. Previous sound designs at Bus Barn have included BUS STOP and ENCHANTED APRIL. Sound designs at other theaters include THE CEMETARY CLUB at Northside Theatre Company and NOISES OFF with Palo Alto Players. Rich has also been seen onstage as Baptista in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW (Shady Shakespeare), Ezra Chater in ARCADIA (Pear Avenue Theater), and most recently as Tom in SIX YEARS at Dragon Productions. By day Rich is a web application developer and voice actor.
Patricia Tyler (Properties Design) is very happy to be designing for the first time at Bus Barn! She has designed props for over 30 shows in the Bay Area. As an actress, some of her recent theatre credits include: BUS STOP (Grace) at Bus Barn, All MY SONS (Kate) at the Mountain View Second Stage, CHEKHOV IN YALTA (Lilina) at the Dragon, THE LONG CHRISTMAS RIDE HOME (puppeteer) at The Magic Theatre, METAMORPHOSES NICKEL AND DIMED (Barbara), THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA (Maxine), and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Puck) at The Pear Avenue Theatre.
Kit Wilder (Fight Director) has enjoyed a long association with Bus Barn Stage Company, having worked as set designer, lighting designer, and fight director for many productions. He also directed our acclaimed production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE in 2002. A member of the Society of American Fight Directors and San Francisco's Academy of the Sword, Kit has provided stage violence and other mayhem for countless productions. He currently serves as Associate Artistic Director of City Lights Theater Company, and has acted for numerous professional companies throughout the Bay Area and beyond. |
