The Actors

Thorvald Aagaard (Einstein) has appeared with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, the National Theatre for Children, Onekind Theatre, Unidentified Theatre, Dreamweaver’s Theatre, Napa Valley Shakespeare Festival, Napa Valley Musical Theatre, and the Gold Pan Theatre in Skagway Alaska. Last summer he appeared in two shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has performed his own solo show about John Milton, Middle Flight, on tour in the US and Great Britain.
     
John Baldwin (Freddy) is delighted to be making his 5th appearance at Bus Barn, having previously performed in COMMUNICATING DOORS (Harold), TERRA NOVA (Dr. Wilson), ARMS AND THE MAN (Major Petkoff), and PIERRE AND MARIE (Chevrier). Other recent roles at area theatres include Dr. Dorn in THE SEAGULL (Pear Avenue Theatre), Ed Devery in BORN YESTERDAY (Palo Alto Players), Tom Fairchild in SABRINA FAIR (Tabard Theatre) and Chernov in ANASTASIA at Hillbarn Theatre. When not performing, John is Asst. Dean for Development at the Santa Clara University School of Law.  
     
Bill D’Agostino (Schmendiman) has written a short play, CLASS OF '94, which is currently playing at the Pear Avenue Theatre as part of PEAR SLICES II. He is pleased to be making his first appearance at Bus Barn. He was most recently seen on stage as Nick in the Pear's production of A BEAUTIFUL HOME FOR THE INCURABLE. Other favorite roles include Blunt in the THE ROVER and Malvolio in TWELFTH NIGHT. He is also a staff writer for the Palo Alto Weekly.  
     
Scott Daniel (A Visitor) is thrilled to be returning to Bus Barn Stage Company after last appearing in the Free Shakespeare in the Park production of TAMING OF THE SHREW as Petruchio. He was recently seen onstage at Hillbarn Theatre as Prince Paul in ANASTASIA. He is a graduate of the National Shakespeare Conservatory and the College of Marin Theatre Department.  
     
Jim Johnson (Gaston) has appeared at Bus Barn in TWELFTH NIGHT, 1940’S RADIO HOUR, AS YOU LIKE IT, INSPECTING CAROL, A WINTER’S TALE, and THE TAMING OF THE SHREW among others. He also appears frequently with City Lights Theater Company and other local groups.  
     

Michael Navarra *(Picasso) is delighted to make his debut with Bus Barn Stage Company. Selected theatre credits include: A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (Stanley), THE ODD COUPLE - FEMALE VERSION (Jesus Costanzuela), PROOF (Hal), DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Gerry) with Pacific Alliance Stage Company, AS YOU LIKE IT (Orlando), COMEDY OF ERRORS (Dromio), MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING (Conrade) with Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, WINDOWS & MIRRORS (Multiple roles) with Traveling Jewish Theatre and Word for Word, ALADDIN (Billy Gruber), LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST (Dumaine) with San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Lysander) and PERICLES (Lysimachus) with Shakespeare at Stinson. Michael was heard last year throughout the U.S. in the radio play “It Can’t Happen Here” produced by Z Space Studio and performed internationally with Shakespeare A Firenze in Florence, Italy. He received his training at U.C. Irvine (B.A. in Drama) and the University of Washington (M.F.A. in Acting) where he worked closely with Jon Jory.

Sondra Putnam (Germaine) is pleased to return to the Bus Barn stage for the second time this season; you may have seen her as Dr. Vivian Bearing in the season opener WIT. Some other favorite roles include Fran MacMillan D.A. in NUTS, Catherine in ARMS AND THE MAN (also directed by Matthew Travisano), Terry in EXTREMITIES, Ruella in COMMUNICATING DOORES, Charlotte in MOON OVER BUFFALO, Blanche in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, Glorie in GRACE & GLORIE, Bunny in THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES, Maggie in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF. She studied acting at Stella Adler Conservatory in New York City and Full Circle Productions in San Fransciso. Sondra has credits in movies, commercials, and television.  
     
Ed Robinson (Sagot) is returning to the Bus Barn stage after recently appearing as Actor #3 in JACOB MARLEY’S CHRISTMAS CAROL. Other recent appearances include Fred Boalt in Pear Avenue Theatre’s production of VERACRUZ, Alan Berg/Actor 3 in GOD’S COUNTRY and Finache in FLEA IN HER EAR both at San Francisco State University. Ed received his B.A. from SFSU in Theatre Arts.  
     
Shannon Stowe’s (Suzanne, Countess, Admirer) most recent Bus Barn appearance was Biondella in last summer’s THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. Other Bus Barn credits include THE GOODBYE GIRL, INSPECTING CAROL, ARMS AND THE MAN, CABARET, and THE HEIDI CHRONICLES. Other local credicts include BORN YESTERDAY (Billie Dawn) and THE LION IN WINTER (Alais) at Palo Alto Players, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Hermia) at the Pear Avenue Theatre, NO EXIT (Estelle) with Dragon Productions, CABARET (Kit Kat Girl) and WEST SIDE STORY (Graziella) with Broadway by the Bay, FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS (Meredith) and THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW (Phantom) with City Lights Theater Company, and DRACULA (Lucy) and DANCING AT LUGHNASA (Rosie) at Hillbarn Theatre. When she isn’t onstage, Shannon can be found choreographing (most recently FOREVER PLAID at Bus Barn) and directing for the Los Altos Youth Theatre. Shannon has her M.A. in Drama from San Francisco State University.
