Since that time, she has directed over 50 productions and served as Associate Director at Hillbarn Theater from 1991-1993, as Associate Artistic Director at Palo Alto Players from 1993-1998, and currently is Artistic Director at Bus Barn Stage Company. Daya Curley (Assistant Director) happily returns to Bus Barn Stage, this time as a member of the production team. She appeared here previously as an actor (under the name David Curley) in THE GOODBYE GIRL and JOHN & JEN. She is now semi-retired from performing in order to concentrate on writing, directing and producing. She co-wrote and directed the musical BECOMING BRITNEY, which had its world premiere at The New York International Fringe Festival in 2008. This coming November, she will direct a new production of the show at Center Rep in Walnut Creek (becomingbritney.com). In addition, she will once again help produce and also perform in the annual DIVAS FOR LIFE benefit concert in June, to be held at San Jose Rep on June 28th (divasinconcert.com).
Chris Enni (Sound Design) has enjoyed working on sound design for the Bus Barn Stage. In pursuing his writing career, Chris has had two of his plays produced at the Foothill College New Works Festival - THE MAN WHO MARRIED A DUMB WIFE and THE PUPPET FACTORY. Before writing plays, Chris enjoyed writing songs featured on television, radio, and video. And before that, he toured nationally with his band The Cardiff Reefers, which came to an abrupt end when he and his wife decided to have children. And before that, he doesn't remember much - because of the children. Chris also plays jazz, popular and classical piano as well as electric guitar in his current band, Bad Daddy (we really aren't that bad). Thank you for coming to see another great show brought to you by your great local talent at the Bus Barn.
Ron Gasparinetti (Set Designer) was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He attended Essex Catholic High School and Montclair State University where he earned his BFA degree in technical theatre with a scenic design concentration. Ron worked the night shift for the Newark, NJ police department while attending college. He graduated in 1986. Ron has worked steadily since then as a technical director, scenic designer, lighting designer, props designer and production manager-sometimes all at once! He even forayed into the field of acting for a short time. Ron has been involved with over 400 productions in the last 30 years. He currently resides in California on the San Francisco Peninsula. In February of 2007, Ron joined forces with Charles McKeithan to form a new company: THRUST Scenic Design & Construction. Ben Hemmen (Lighting Designer) returns to light Little Shop of Horrors, having most recent lit THE ALTOS for Bus Barn, as well as lighting Great Expectations for LAYT, and stage managing Priviate Lives before that. He does not regret living in the building since November, as the recent green addition is a good change of decor as well a someone to talk to, and he's so anemic from the efforts that he has no worries. He's also looking forward to Frog's legs after the show. Question and comment can be directed to ben@hemmen.com
Charles McKeithan (Master Carpenter) has been a handyman by day and an actor by night in the local Bay Area for the past ten years.
