In 1921, three American luminaries - Warren G. Harding, Henry Ford, and Thomas Edison - take to the Maryland woods to escape civilization. When they get marooned in this witty "factional" story, the great minds clash over everything from politics to personal philosophies. By the time they are rescued it becomes clear that Warren G. Harding was a man who never wanted to be President, Henry Ford was a man who did, and that after many expeditions Thomas Edison would probably never go camping with Henry Ford again. CAMPING WITH HENRY AND TOM is an entertaining exploration of friendship, politics and leadership in the twentieth century. Winner of three 1995 Off Broadway Lucille Lortel Awards, including Outstanding Play. |

In 2005 Ron met Charles McKeithan and several months later, in February 2006, they joined forces to create THRUST Scenic Design & Construction. Together they look forward to bringing enjoyable theatre to the Bay Area.
Ben Hemmen (Stage Manager) returns to Bus Barn to Stage Manage CAMPING WITH HENRY & TOM. He does not know why. His Father had a serious injury while camping, and his Mother grew up on a farm without electricity and didn't understand going back to cold and damp when she worked so hard to escape to central heating. At least when he read the script he knew he would be entertained, even after the 20th rerun, and there is always more work to be done.. Question and comments can be directed to ben@hemmen.com (In Memory of Theresa (Terry) Hemmen, 1924-2011)
